To begin this 1 day gorilla trekking safari, your driver guide will pick up from the hotel in Kigali for the safari. You will wake up at 3:30 am, take an early breakfast and then after start the journey at 4:00 am, taking about 3 – 3:30 hours’ drive on the road to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the southern section. You will get to the park in time and immediately take briefing about the rules of gorilla trekking in the forest.

After the briefing, you will start the hike into the forest in search of the Mountain Gorillas in Uganda. Gorilla trekking is a delightful experience in the wild. Trekking in hilly green landscape to reach the gorillas in the jungle is an exercise worth the energy. When you finally come across the gorillas, it will be a sigh of relief followed by excitement.

You will be allowed to stay for one hour with the gorillas as you observe them play, jump and eat the vegetation to your admiration. It is exceptionally remarkable to see a young ones jump on and off from the elder gorillas. You are allowed to take photos but not with a flash camera so that you do not disorganize them. When you are done with gorilla trekking, you will transfer back to the lodge, have lunch and then drive back to Kigali to where you will arrive in the evening. The driver guide will transfer you to your hotel and to the airport in case of an impending flight.
